Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch.

We can supply examples of extrusion; however they are off-cuts from other runs/orders we’ve previously fulfilled. This will give you an idea of what you can expect for your forthcoming order.

However, unless we happen to carry some offcuts of the extrusion that you’re looking to specifically order, we cannot supply a sample for bespoke extrusion orders. We run our extruder and autoclave, for curing the extrusion, on receipt of order only as this requires lots of input from our skilled engineers, has a set curing time and also requires cleaning after the manufacturing run.

We do not – as standard – carry stock of any of our extrusion profiles, other than glazing sections and edge seals/panel joiners.

If the extrusion you’re looking to purchase doesn’t have to adhere too stringently to any set dimensions, and you don’t require vast lengths, there’s a possibility that we may have some product overrun that will fulfil the needs of your application.

Get in touch with some more information for further detail.

If the profile that you’re looking to purchase has been produced by us before (these are all documented under the rubber extrusion profile shape in the ‘Products’ area of the website), then we’ll already have the required tool available for use with our extruder. The lead time on these orders, from order confirmation to product availability. is typically 10 working days.

If we are required to fabricate a brand new tool for your extrusion order, as we haven’t created that profile for the desired material before, then this will add an additional 15-20 working days to your order.

For an accurate estimate of order completion/delivery, simply get in touch, using the contact form on our ‘Contact Us’ page and we’ll be back in touch, ASAP.

We do have minimum order quantities on all extrusion work, due to the setup, running and clean down of the machinery. For further information and specific figures, regarding the minimum order required, get in touch with us using the Get Quote button on the appropriate extrusion product.

Not at all. If you can’t see the extrusion profile that you want under our ‘Products’, and you can’t see it in our ‘Bespoke Extrusion’ profile .pdf files in our Downloads area of the site, it simply means we would need to manufacture the tool before we’re able to complete your order.

We’ve been able to fulfil over 99% of the extrusion enquiries that have come to us with weird, wonderful and unusual profiles, so simply get in touch – ideally with a drawing of the desired extrusion profile – and we’ll let you know the cost and expected delivery date.

The tolerance on our extrusion varies depending a number of factors, including profiles, material, order length etc. If you’d like the specific tolerance that we’ll be able to work with on your order, please get in touch using our contact form or using the Get Quote function on the product and we’ll be in contact to discuss further.

If we happen to hold some gaskets from a previous overrun, we’ll be happy to supply. However, due to the nature of our gasket fabrication and the exceptional planning/use of material, this is unfortunately not always possible.

We manufacture all gaskets using our in-house Zund cutting machine and the pricing/quotes we offer, takes into account the time it takes our engineers to calibrate and set the machine up for it’s cutting run. We can supply samples of the rubber materials we hold upon request, and can send an initial gasket once the quote has been accepted/order placed, to confirm suitability.

Check out of gasket material page, but if you're still unsure, simply get in touch with us!

Complete our contact form with further detail regarding your required attributes (What will the product be used for? What substances will it be in contact with? etc.) and we’ll be back in touch within 1 working day, to discuss further.

Depending on the required quantities, material needed and the current workload schedule, our turnaround time on gaskets is typically between 3 and 5 working days.

However, we do now also offer a 'Same Day Cutting Service' for urgent turnaround times. This is subject to us holding stock of the required material and the production run being held to less than 100 items.

The lead time on stocked products, assuming we’re presently carrying enough quantity of product to fulfil your order, is 1-3 days delivered.

If you’re in the area (Sweetbriar Industrial Estate, Norwich) and we have enough stock for you to collect, you’re welcome to come by our trade counter and collect within a matter of hours. Collection time will be confirmed on receipt of order, at request.

Yes, you can. We’re presently offering businesses trade accounts, subject to status and a credit limit. Should you wish to apply for a trade account, please contact us at sales@walker-rubber.co.uk, with the title ‘Trade Account Application’ and some company details and we’ll being the process of getting you registered on our system.

Your first order must be paid ahead of collection/delivery, but – assuming there aren’t any issues with your application – further orders can be fulfilled against your account.

Depending on the intricacy of the required order, our available stock and existing workload, we strive to fulfil quotation requests within 1 working day.

If we’re unable to complete the quotation request within 1 working day, we’ll be in touch to assure you that it’s in hand and let you know an expected quotation date.

Depending on the product/service you require, our website is the best and most efficient manner of getting in touch with us regarding a quotation.

All of our products have a ‘Get Quote’ button on their pages, which allows you to add further detail of your order and also allows you to upload documents/drawing/pictures to assist us with offering a quote for your desired purchase(s).

Please get in touch regarding your specific requirements, location and required products and – where possible and appropriate – we can arrange for one of our expert engineers to visit your site.

Absolutely. We’re able to ship anywhere you desire at the cost of carriage.

Upon acceptance of the quotations and confirmation of the order, simply let us know the delivery address and we’ll arrange for the goods to be sent directly.

We do but, in terms of cost and quantity, it depends on the product(s) in question. We have a minimum order quantity on our bespoke products, such as sheet cutting, gaskets and extrusions.

Minimum order quantities/values have to be set due to the setup of the gasket and extrusion tooling, the cost of running the machinery, the cleaning of equipment after the manufacturing run and the labour involved in production.

For items that we stock off-the-shelf, which requires no engineering input, such as clips, clamps and fittings, we do not set minimum order quantities.

The trade counter is open from Monday to Thursday, 8am until 4pm.

On Fridays, the trade counter is open 8am until midday.

The trade counter closed over the weekend and is also closed over Bank Holidays.

All stocked ‘off-the-shelf’ products are available immediately over the counter; i.e clips, clamps, fittings, adhesives, tapes etc.

Items that require small levels of labour are also available directly over the counter, and – depending on how you busy we are – are often available to be cut whilst you wait. This includes items such ducting, rubber sheet/curtains/strip, hose, matting, stocked edge/panel seals etc.

*Please note, however, that items requiring cutting, are subject to minimum order quantities and values.

*Please get in touch for further assistance and confirmation of available stock, ahead of coming over.

Yes, the trade counter can be used for cash/card sales, as well as trade purchasing and account sales.

*Please note, we do not accept cheques for non-account customers/purchases.
