Rubber for the Construction Industry
Our role in the construction industry
Construction like Civil engineering is easily one of the most dependable and prominent industries in world. This sector creates countless jobs developing and maintaining the foundations that keep our cities and towns together. Along with construction, these two industries equate for 28.3% of GDP. It has a market size of £6.9 trillion and is expected to grow by 5.7% to £10.01 trillion by 2028.
We have stepped in countless times to deliver dependable and long-lasting rubber products for the construction industry. These are often for time-critical projects when other rubber manufacturers have been unable to deliver. We create heavy duty structural seals, and asset protection products, manufactured in our own UK factory to your precise requirements. Our experience spans 40 years working on important projects both locally and nationally.
Whether you need one of our standard rubber extrusions or something unique, we provide premium and cost-effective solutions. We have a good track record supplying bespoke glazing and architectural seals for major projects. Our manufactured and comprehensive range of rubber impact protectors suit any operating environment, requirement, and condition. Our heavy-duty options are suitable for storage unit impact protection from large vehicles and loading bays.

Our CapabilitiesCheckout our exclusive Rollaway Bank Ladders
Developed to help workers access steep-sided ditches quickly and safely, our rollaway flexible bank ladders provide a simple solution to the problem of getting up and down steep slopes. This has proven very popular with Rail and Civil Engineering projects, with it being especially helpful for emergency or temporary use. These Ladders can be linked together to access deep cuttings or steep embankments, roofs and dome-shaped structures significantly improving foothold and reducing risk.
ConstructionAir duct insulation for building ventilation
Building, roofing, air duct insulation for domestic and industrial purposes. Our rubber sheets come in 5 and 10m rolls with high insulation properties that can be laid out in areas of a building around pipes and ducts to stop them losing heat.
Did you know...?
The Emirates Stadium, the new home to Arsenal Football Club, uses clear polycarbonate and glass to ensure as much light as possible reaches the pitch. To achieve this, an EPDM seal section is required to retain and cushion the glazing material from the metal support structure. Our customer approached us at a point where time was of the essence. The developers were under great pressure to get the stadium completed on time. Our rapid response in developing a new seal, securing approval and ramping up production ensured work on the site continued uninterrupted. The new, improved and now world-renowned stadia opened on time due in no small measure to the skill and dedication of the whole Walker Rubber team. Arsenal's motto, Victoria Concordia Crescit, translates to “Victory Through Harmony”, and we were proud to be part of this.
